So, yes. Busan.

We spent two days there, taking the high speed train (which, like the shinkansen in Japan, goes very fast and is AWESOME) up on Saturday morning and leaving Sunday evening. After stashing our stuff at what turned out to be a lovely motel nestled at the edge of the Russian hooker district, we took off for Bomeosa, which Ellen insisted Lonely Planet Korea said was a very nice temple that we should go see for its magnificence.

It was. . .really fucking pretty. The temple itself is actually at the top of a mountain, surrounded by other, bigger mountains, and just going and seeing that much nature and that many trees, especially when I spend so much of my time in cities, was fantastic.

(You may notice that there appear to be swastikas all over those lanterns. You know how everyone says “Oh, LOLOLOL not a swastika, it’s a Buddhist good luck symbol!”? It. . .turns out it actually is.)
